Product Reviews
Good for charging phones. Will power a small fan. It dies when powering a Keurig.
Well designed, easy to use and tons of capacity. I bought it for camping but I can already tell I'm going to use it at work to charge my power tools. Charged my tablet all the way and only used a few percent. It'll be great to have at the house too if the power goes out.
Just called the company, The internal battery cannot be replaced and has a cycle life of about 500 cycles depending on care and use. If you purchase solar panels for long-term use and sustainability, Your panels will likely outlast the actual power station.
Amazing product. Easily the most efficient power supply pound for pound. Digital readings make it super easy to gauge power conservation. And it recharges faster than anything I've seen. All within a super compact stackable cube.
Very pleased with this power station. Powered a 24in tv and charged our phones while on a trip in our rv.
Love this battery for both remote camping and keep the music going when gardening. The hinges handle was a huge selling point. Other batteries have a fixed handle making it difficult to pack. The charge time is quick and battery lasts a looong time. We charge laptops, phones, speakers, cameras and even a small fan tower for a recent super hot/muggy night camping in the back of the truck.
I recently purchased the blackfire pac 500 after selling my goal zero yeti 400 I was looking for something with more power and alot lighter and the PAC 500 did not let me down. We had no power for 30 hours and it kept our living room lamp running phones and iPad charged up the whole time and had plenty of power left. I really like how light and powerful it is for the size I would of liked it to come with a car charger so you could restore some power back into it when you needed to sometimes solar isn't an option in the mountains. I highly recommend this product for anyone interested.
We took this power unit to Burning Man - where you have to be radically self sufficient. We had a Cruise America camper, but wanted to use this for running a fan, charging phones, playing the Blackfire speaker, etc. it worked like a charm! Never had to use the RV engine to recharge it.
Our goal was to have a way to power a low-voltage heated blanket for winter camping. Not only did the Blackfire power our heated blanket ALL night...it powered a 100ft strand of lights around the campsite for 5 hours and charged both of our phones. After that the Blackfire still had 60% power remaining! We are beyond impressed and happy.
I hadnt heard of Blackfire before but was glad to see a new option for portable power. I finally received the pre-order and have had a lot of success using it on my weekend trips. I went ahead and got a solar panel and it has been keeping us running strong ever since.
I pre-ordered this when I saw it at the Overland Expo back in May. I have really impressed with this powerstation so far. One of the big things was how light weight it was compared to others I have seen. Its really been able to handle my demands when working on production off grid. Always looking for good ways to power all my gear.
