Product Reviews
Love the flexibility of this light. I give it a 10 for that.
The three light settings are cool also.
The one feature that drives me crazy is the on and off switch. If I leave it in my bag, almost the slightest pressure from anything around it makes it come on and drains the batteries. I'm trying to figure a way to place a guard around the on/off switch.
Like the clip design! We only took two flash lights (another one is BBM888-2) to camping, they did a great job - stand on the table, clip on the faucet pipe, hang on the tent ceiling as a lantern.
If you are a boater and are in need of hands free light that can hold onto a railing or windshield top at night on the water or for docking, these work great as they are adjustable, and swivel a have a high/low switch.
Nice and bright, even put on my boat's trolling motor for SLOW night driving; not like a spotlight.
Good bright light. It can grip/clamp on to an object, or can be used free standing. Has a powerfull beam of light, using just 2-AAA batteries. Has a "spot" type of light and does not give a wide field of light, but works very well.
This light is great. Whomever thought out the design deserves an award. It's very bright and between the clip and the stand, it is versatile. My snow blower doesn't have a light but this one clips to the handlebar and nicely lights my path. IT's a very handy light and my new favorite flashlight.
Love the flashlight. I own quite a few and it's by far my favorite since it's so versatile. The only issue is that the push-button is too easily pressed if kept in a tool bag and you wind up with dead batteries. Would be perfect if there was a lock-out feature for the power button.
easy to clamp on to just about anything. provides a lot of light and the swivel function makes it very easy to direct the light to the direction you need it. I use it outside on our deck to illuminate the grill grates when cooking late at night.
These things are pretty bright. The battery lasts quite a while too. (I'd hope so, as it is 3 triple a batteries) pretty versatile though. Rotates to whatever angle you would need. Clamps to most anything. The clamp opens about 5 inches so you'll be able to find somewhere to put it.
Great for pre-dawn or post sunset fishing trips. I clamp this to my cart and head out. If I am out on a boat early or late, I can clamp this to a rail or a cleat and position the light how I need it. Very bright and waterproof. Clamp is tight and secure.
Good quality. Well made They are a life saver in a crawl space. Instead of a single light you have to lug around with you all the time, you clip these up up and wolla. In tight spaces, you clip and be done with it, and if you need to move it, just pivot the head.
Works well and is very bright. uses three triple a's (not included) has three modes: super bright, slightly less bright, and some kind of half second strobe. the clip/clamp is fairly strong and also doubles as a stand for flat surfaces. the top part folds/adjusts down for different angles.
Blackfire are great products. I purchased a smaller version witih a 360 degree spin horizontal and a tilt vertical. Like that model this one has a clip to place where you need it . This product is well worth the money. THis one floats I believe and is waterproof. works on 3 AA batteries and its light is intense and far reaching (3 settings)
I would have given this light 5 stars, but it bugs me that to turn off light you have to press switch 3 times to cycle thru the bright/dim/strobe function. The light beam itself, however has a fantastic directional range of motion, which is great for say working on your car and directing light where needed.
I purchased the Backfire to use with lighting up my tackle box during night fishing. The clamp works great and the head has full rotation and I can use it in many different positions. The clamp works great as I attached it to the side of my tackle box and it gives me plenty of light when attaching lures or checking my line. For the price I would recommend this light for this application and many others......It also stands up nicely which is a plus.
I have more high end $400+ flashlights so I would not try to compare the Blackfire to those. The Blackfire works really well and puts out a strong beam of light. I have used it in nearly all of the configurations that it will allow - from clamping on to something, swiveling and sitting like a tri-pod using its own stand turned around and it works great in all situations. My only gripe would be that it's a little bit top heavy which means you have to make sure the clamp is a good ways down what ever you are clamping it onto otherwise it will droop down from the weight. Not a "huge" issue and can be overcome with creative mounting but I could see it being more problematic if you only had a very small surface to clamp onto. Otherwise, its a great light and does what it says and is another worthwhile addition to my arsenal of lights.
The clamp sure holds tight and keeps me hands-free. Overall very pleased, with the functionality. Will be recommending to friends.
Needed a great light for fishing and around the boat. This one did just the trick. Dropped it in the lake by accident and it lived up to its name being waterproof.
